The four Rotary Clubs of Cabarrus County are uniting to move a Cabarrus County family out of substandard housing by funding and building a Rotary Habitat House. The house and the Habitat Partner Family would become a permanent statement of Rotary’s “Service Above Self” commitment in our community.
The cost of this proposal will total $60,000 over one year, either through financial sponsorship or in-kind contributions.
Representatives from the four clubs have met and decided that the best way to raise the funds would be to hold a joint fundraiser specifically for the Habitat House. It was decided that having an online auction would allow all the clubs to work separately, gathering items and recruiting bidders for the auction, then jointly hosting the auction at cmarket.com, an online auction web site for non-profit, charitable organizations.
If every Rotarian can either give or ask another to give one item or service for our online auction, we believe we can meet this goal.

About Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County:
Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County (HfHCC) is an organization of excellence dedicated to working in partnership with the community to mobilize resources and eliminate sub-standard housing in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Our mission statement reads, “Guided by God, Habitat Cabarrus transforms lives and our community by uniting all of Cabarrus County around the cause of decent, affordable housing for everyone.”
For the past 18 years, we have successfully implemented Habitat for Humanity’s unique volunteer-driven sweat equity method of building low-cost homes. These homes are then sold to our partner families, who utilize our zero-percent, no profit mortgages. We have benefited from the strength of thousands of volunteers united across racial, cultural, and faith boundaries. Furthermore, we are working continually as an advocate for the cause of eliminating sub-standard housing in Cabarrus County.
