Rotary Harmony Park
Rotary Harmony Park
Rotary Harmony Park brings a new form of outdoor recreation to Cabarrus County with 6 outdoor musical instruments in a beautiful setting at Frank Liske Park that is accessible to people of all ages and abilities. The park features Freenotes musical instruments which were invented by Grammy Award-Winning musician Richard Cooke and are innovatively designed to be durable, sustainable, and perfectly tuned sound sculptures that enhance any outdoor space.
The outdoor space has been chosen for its accessibility from the parking lot and existing walkway so that people with wheelchairs or walkers can easily access the space as well as use the instruments.
Why have music in the park? Playing music is fun! It builds confidence, encourages creativity and self-expression. It can reduce anxiety, relieve symptoms of depression, and elevate your mood. It just makes people healthier and happier. These instruments in particular were created, not just to make noise, but to truly create pleasing sounds.
We appreciate the support and hard work of all of our Club Rotarians and our partners who made this project possible including Cabarrus County Active Parks and Living, Perry Productions, the Cabarrus Arts Council and Rotary District 7680.
